Career Opportunity
Bailard’s real estate team is growing and is looking to hire a Research & Performance Analyst who will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and organizing data on Bailard’s Real Estate Fund’s portfolio, synthesizing information regarding and reporting on property operations, performing all tasks associated with calculating and reporting on return attribution, and researching, analyzing, and disseminating information on real estate markets and capital markets data. This position will be located in the Bailard real estate team’s San Francisco office.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Assist in mining, auditing, and manipulating data on the portfolio and its benchmark
- Research and analyze economic, demographic, real estate and financial data to help evaluate investment decisions, and contribute to research reports and white papers
- Perform detailed review and analyses of reports to draw conclusions about investment performance at the Fund, market, and asset level.
- Assist in integrating the Fund’s data into a portfolio management tool and a tracking tool for environmental, sustainable, and social (“ESG”) initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Finance or related experience with strong analytical abilities and quantitative skills
- Advanced proficiency with MS Excel required. Knowledge in SQL preferred
- Self-starter who is able to work independently
- Minimum of 2 years of investment research and data analysis experience. Real estate experience preferred
- Solid understanding of statistics, trends, and basic financial terminology,
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Unassailable integrity, entrepreneurial spirit, high energy, and exceptional work ethic
