Job Summary:

The Vice President is responsible for resolving a moderately complex portfolio of performing and non-performing specially serviced loan issues.  The Vice President must be able to work independently, at the direction of the Team Leader, yet be able to quickly recognize difficult situations and seek guidance from the Team Leader and Counsel.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

•           Manage moderately complex performing loan issues (“NTs”) and specially serviced loans (“SS”) serviced by LNR Partners in its                capacity as special servicer or as owner of the loan and ensure assets are effectively and expeditiously resolved.

•           Establish a workout strategy on SS assets including understanding real estate markets, property deficiencies, Borrower                            deficiencies, and to ascertaining the value of a real estate asset.

•           Prepare written Approval Recommendations on NT’s in a timely fashion.

•           Maintain LPAMS (LNR’s data system) files for assets.

•           Complete accurately property and loan valuations using LNR’s proprietary models.

•           Meet all Compliance requirements in the applicable Servicing Agreements, in a timely fashion.

•           Consult with team Leader on any unusual or difficult situations arising on assets, as necessary.

•           Manage, train and utilize Loan Analysts to increase efficiency.

•           Underwrite loan assets for new acquisitions and re-underwriting, as assigned.

•           Work effectively and maintain good relationships with outside counsel and internal departments (Legal, Servicing, Accounting).

•           Mentor and train junior asset managers and analysts.

Knowledge and Skills:

•           Ability to structure, negotiate and close performing and non-performing loan resolutions.

•           Strong real estate background & understanding of specific property-type and property-level issues.

•           Understanding of complex real estate loan documents.

•           Good verbal and written communication skills.

•           Good computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Education and Experience:

•           Bachelor’s degree with Graduate degree preferred (or additional work experience).  
•           Minimum of 6-7 years experience in loan asset management including resolution of performing loan issues, workouts and                        litigation, or other related transferable skills.
