Partner, Advisory, Real Estate Consulting

Responsibilities: 

• Maintain full responsibility and accountability for a portfolio of clients
• Primary client interface / Relationship manager
• Provide strategic real estate and real asset advice, as well as portfolio management and construction

• Maintain ongoing relationship with staff
• Maintain trustee relationships and development
• Present all client deliverables (strategies, investment recommendations, etc..) to Townsend Investment Committee for review and approval
• Produce firm and client specific investment recommendations for review by Townsend Investment Committee, as necessary, with support of associates and/or analysts
• Develop and maintain investment position for real estate specialty (sector, geographic, or specialization)
• Report to Management Committee / Investment Committee for annual client portfolio reviews
• Attend and participate in annual manager meetings and industry conferences to build brand awareness 
• Actively contribute to Consultant and Associate career development
• Actively contribute to Townsend’s marketing efforts and new business development
• Continual review and analyze team needs and opportunities / areas for improvement
• Participate in firm level research and other ad hoc projects

Qualifications:

• Significant previous experience in real estate consulting, private fund management, or related  fields (e.g. investment consulting, private fund management, banking, real estate acquisitions, real estate investments)
• Bachelors Degree in finance or related field, MBA or JD;
• CFA/CAIA designation preferred
• Strong analytic and quantitative skills with investment and intellectual curiosity
• Experience underwriting private equity real estate funds and or similar private investment structures
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experienced presenter to large groups of constituents
• Ability to understand and communicate client investment objectives and strategies
• Ability to clearly articulate real estate market conditions
• Ability to comprehend, analyze, develop conclusion, and communicate analysis in written and verbal fashion
• Ability to design and articulate investment strategy, and construct a balanced investment portfolio
• Excellent leadership and motivational skills
