Global Workplace Solutions, on behalf of a large, Silicon Valley-based technology client, is seeking an Investment Associate/Director to provide analytical and transactional support in the recommendation and acquisition/development of various investment types. 

 

Core Responsibilities include identification, underwriting, due diligence and closing of investment opportunities. 

 

This position would involve 1) assisting in the sourcing of investments, 2) utilizing Excel or equivalent to create financial models and other analysis to evaluate acquisition opportunities, 3) coordination and management of due diligence, 4) assisting in the presentation of acquisition opportunities to the client's senior leadership, and 5) monitoring transactions through closing in a coordinated, communicative manner across various business functions.

 
  • Support the current Transactions team in the identification/analysis of investment opportunities
  • Development and monitoring of a regional, possibly global, investment pipeline, present rationale for recommended investment pursuits to internal and client leads
  • Draft and create a large variety of analyses and relevant documents including DCF/IRR valuation, sale and lease comparable review, sensitivity analyses, and other ad hoc analysis
  • Contribute to and manage the drafting of client Investment Committee materials
  • Coordinate and manage the due diligence and closing efforts including review of operating statements, third-party reports and closing statements
  • Other projects and responsibilities as needed by the Global Transactions team
 
 

JOB TITLE:  Investment Associate/Director

LOCATION:  Sunnyvale, CA


What you need to be successful in the role:

 
  • Bachelor's Degree (industry certificates, designations and licenses a plus)
  • 3-7 years of related experience in financial analysis/real estate transactions, preferably with experience in West Coast markets
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite or equivalent, Argus and Salesforce
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information effectively
  • Provides assistance and oversight such as technical guidance to coworkers
  • Leasing or asset management experience a plus
  • Ability to lead project teams and/or supervise assignments with the client and other team members
  • Demonstrate initiative, leadership, team building skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced, team environment
