JOB SUMMARY


We are recruiting a Senior Analyst/Associate (dependent on experience) to join our U.S. Investment Strategy and Research Team. This team plays a key role in formulating CBRE Global Investor's investment strategy and steering decision-making for asset acquisitions and property portfolio construction. The successful candidate will principally be involved in forecasting U.S. commercial property fundamentals and investment markets.

Responsibilities will include:
Working with the team to provide investment research, strategic analysis and insight into economic, demographic, capital and property market trends. 


Broaden U.S. property forecasting capabilities by performing research on and applying quantitative analytics to models for yield forecasts, risk models, attribution analysis, and portfolio construction techniques, as well as developing models for measuring risk, analysis of historic returns, portfolio construction, and analyze/attribute the drivers of return.

Supporting forecasting of real estate fundamentals at metro and submarket levels for asset types across the U.S. to be used for underwriting acquisitions and managing assets.

Interpreting and communicating (verbally and written) quantitative and qualitative analyses with managers and clients, external and internal.

Providing analytical and written content for monthly/quarterly/semi-annual publications and presentations to communicate our insights and 'house view' to internal and external clients.

Producing white papers and research articles on topics of current interest

Updating and maintaining various publications, materials and reports related to economic, capital market and real estate market conditions from multiple third-party resources.



QUALIFICATIONS


An inquisitive, motivated and analytical personality


Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (economics, applied math, statistics or related field) with two-three years of related experience. 


Master's degree in a similar field preferred. 


At last two years of experience in econometric/quantitative forecasting; some knowledge of the commercial real estate discipline and financial concepts would be advantageous 


Demonstrated ability to use statistical analysis to gain insights


Excellent written and verbal communication skills 


Desire to contribute to active team discussions about economic and market conditions


Strong Excel and Power Point skills


Positive work attitude and ability to contribute to a team environment
